Plesk is a web hosting panel published by a third party. From a single interface it manages your sites and their WordPress installations, email, databases, DNS and certificates. On an OnetSolutions VPS, it is installed for you when the server is created.
Prerequisites
  • A plan with at least 2 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 40 GB of storage
  • A Plesk licence after the trial period

Pick the plan

Pick a plan on the Plesk VPS page: Plesk is already selected in the order.

Check the installation

At the What do you want to install? step, Plesk is shown on its own. Ubuntu 26.04 is chosen automatically.

Order

The server is created, then Plesk installs itself in fifteen to thirty minutes.
You can also install Plesk on an existing VPS by reinstalling it.

First sign-in

Open the panel

When the card shows Installed, select Open the panel, or open https://<server IP address>:8443. Your browser warns about a self-signed certificate until a domain name is configured: this is expected.

Log in as root

Use your server credentials: the root user and the password provided when the server was created.

Finish the setup

Plesk asks for your contact details and the licence to use, then opens on its dashboard.

Licence

The installation starts on a trial licence. A Plesk licence is required afterwards, bought from the publisher. It is not included in your VPS plan. The edition you choose decides how many domains you may host and which extensions, such as the WordPress Toolkit, are available.

Firewall

If you enable your VPS firewall, allow port 8443 for the panel, 80 and 443 for your sites, and the email ports if you host mailboxes. The Plesk documentation lists the full set.

Troubleshooting

Contact support from the console: we will help you run the installation again. The installation details are logged on the server, in /var/log/onetsolutions-plesk-install.log.
Check that the card status is Installed, then that port 8443 is allowed if the firewall is enabled.
