Prerequisites
- A plan with at least 1 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage
- No licence: HestiaCP is free and open source

Pick the plan
Pick a plan on the HestiaCP VPS page: HestiaCP is already selected in the order.

Check the installation
At the What do you want to install? step, HestiaCP is shown on its own. Debian 13 is chosen automatically.

Order
The server is created, then HestiaCP installs itself in ten to twenty minutes.
First sign-in
HestiaCP generates its own administrator credentials during the installation, rather than letting you create the first account from the browser.1
Read the credentials
On your instance page, the control panel card has a Show credentials button: it reads the username and password that the installation wrote on your server.

Open the panel
Select Open the panel, or open
https://<server IP address>:8083. Your browser warns about a self-signed certificate until a domain name is configured: this is expected.3
Change the password
Change the administrator password at your first login.
The credentials also stay on the server, in
/root/hestiacp-admin.txt, readable over SSH.Firewall
If you enable your VPS firewall, allow port 8083 for the panel, 80 and 443 for your sites, and the email ports if you host mailboxes. The HestiaCP documentation lists the full set.Troubleshooting

Contact support from the console: we will help you run the installation again. The installation details are logged on the server, in

The button reads the file on the server once the installation has finished. Wait for the card to show Installed, then try again.

Check that the card status is Installed, then that port 8083 is allowed if the firewall is enabled.
