# Transfer a Domain

> Transfer your domain name to OnetSolutions

Transfer your domain from another registrar to OnetSolutions to consolidate your services.

## Before You Begin

  Ensure all prerequisites are met before initiating a transfer to avoid delays or failures.
</Warning>

### Prerequisites Checklist

<Steps>
  <Step title="Domain is active">
    Your domain must be **active** and expire in more than 60 days.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Domain age requirement">
    Your domain must have been created at least **60 days ago**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Valid contact emails">
    Owner/admin contact email addresses must be **valid and visible** in WHOIS.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Domain unlocked">
    Your domain must be **unlocked** at your current registrar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorization code ready">
    You must have the **EPP/Auth code** from your current registrar.
  </Step>

  You can find the domain lock setting and authorization code in your current registrar's domain management panel.

## Transfer Process

    Log in to your current registrar and disable the domain lock.

    Request the EPP/Auth code from your current registrar. This is typically found in your domain management panel.

    Start the transfer process in your OnetSolutions account and enter the authorization code.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm transfer">
    You'll receive a confirmation email. Approve the transfer to proceed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for completion">
    The transfer typically takes 7-15 days to complete.
  </Step>
